1. Representational Surfaces of 3rd-Rank Tensors

The following program enables the plotting of representational surfaces of 3rd-rank tensors. Brief instructions are also provided. This tool was developed through collaboration between Dr. Jones and Dr. Juan Nino and was presented at the ISAF 2008 in Santa Fe, NM in February 2008. |

DOWNLOAD: Download both of the following two files and save them in the working directory of your MATLAB software:
- file 1: d333surface.fig (ver 1; 11 Jan 2008)
- file 2: d333surface.m (ver 1; 11 Jan 2008)
RUN: Run the program by typing "d333surface" in the matlab window or by double-clicking on the "d333surface.fig" file in the current directory.
INPUT: Input your coefficient values into the Piezoelectric Coefficient Matrix. Input the increment angle (defines the resolution) and maximum value of the X-, Y- and Z-axes in the Plotting Options box. IMPORTANT NOTE: Even though there are demonstration values listed, it is required that you type in values for each box or the program will not run (although in the absence of other data, you can use the same values that are listed).
CALCULATE AND PLOT: Press the "Recalculate & Replot" button to perform the calculation and represent the data graphically.
